The 5 hues in this image are red, green, white , yellow, black and white. The red conveys an feeling of excitement and passion, and  is successful in making the overall food dish look captivating and appealing. The red is a strong contrast and works as an accent against the cool background of the light cream yellow of the dessert. The bright red color also helps to stimulate one's sense and encourage appetite. The dark yellow-gold hue color of the plate gives a classy, minimalist feel to the dish, and conveys creativity and optimism. The light yellow hue of the dessert gives a very light and soft feel, and conveys to the consumers that this dessert may be light in palette and silky soft or smooth. The light yellow makes the dessert look appetizing and sweet, The white hues in the bowls gives a very clean and simple look to the overall food dish, and conveys pureness and practicality. The white bowls could be used to give the consumers a sense of composure and trust. The green hues ...

This FP was challenging for me, as I had no prior experience before this module. >< I forgot to take screenshots of my journey in making the brand style guide during this process so I will just describe what I did sorry! For the icons, I used the pen tool and curvature too. I found images online and lowered the transparency then traced over. Then , I chose on a font that matched my theme and the vibes that I was going for. I knew very clearly that I wanted my resume to be shades of blue and with yellow to highlight the important headers.  I kept the background of my brand style guide white as I wanted to keep to a simplistic and easy-to-read concept and not use more colors which might make it confusing and messy for readers. For my logo, it took me really long to decide on the bell and I was unsure of how to keep my name or initial inside a logo. However, I suddenly decided to swap out upper part of the bell interior to my Initials which I thought fit together nicely. After d...

My mom will be my subject for this inlecture exercise! This is a low angle shot which makes my mom looks powerful or threatening, which is how she feels to me when she is about to scold me! The audience will view her as someone respected or with authority. This is a mid shot and it emphasizes more of my mom while keeping her surroundings visible. The audience will know that the main subject here is my mom while having a sense of her surroundings so they will not be so lost.  This is a high angle shot which makes her look small, weak or vulnerable. This is also how I look at her now since I am 20cm taller than her! The audience will feel that my mom is very harmless and even comical, and drop their guards towards her as she seems "weak". This is a long shot, this shot sets the scene surround my mom. This can also serve as an establishing shot to give viewers more information on the background. The audience will have more information of my mom's room which can reveal more o...

From first glance, the font seems to be very hard to read as it has heavy stroke. The  typography also have very small kerning  for the letters "L" and "A" next to each other have very small  The leading is also very small, and the small spaces between each rows of words make the text seem very suffocated. The alignment is also off as the text is centered. I would also think that the tracking needs to be increased. I would remove the stroke to improve readability. The spaces between letters "L" and "A" aka the kerning need to be bigger. I would also increase leading. The text should be aligned to the left.

The ad is a Heinz Ketchup ad, with a bottle in the middle. The bottle of ketchup is cut in horizontal lines, which is the signifier. This is to evoke one's memory of tomatoes which are placed on top of each other and sliced. This is to capture the attention of consumers as well as signify that their ketchup has no chemicals as it is from fresh tomatoes.  The sliced tomatoes used to represent the ketchup bottle looks fresh, signifying that their products are fresh and natural. The phase " No one grows Ketchup like Heinz" shows that Heinz delivers fresh ketchup from fresh tomatoes which are grown by the brand themselves. The green stem at the top of the tomato-bottle is also a signifier to signify that the tomatoes they grow are very fresh, as green is a colour linked to nature.

http://www.ipernity.com/doc/laurieannie/24054233 1) Description  I have chose "Starry Night" as my artwork to critique.  The artwork was made by  Vincent Van Gogh in 1889 and he painted it from a room in the mental asylum where was recovering from mental illness and his ear amputation. It is an oil-on-canvas painting. In this painting, there are swirls, stars, buildings, rolling hills, the moon, trees and a church.  There is a town in the foreground, hills in the midground and a blue night sky filled with stars in the background. This is a night time scene painting , and it seems to be painted from a elevated point of view, where the town is seen to be at the bottom of the painting and buildings are small.  There is a much bigger tree in the foreground of the painting, and the town is small compared to the trees. The main colours used are black, dark blue, violet, green, white, and yellow. 2) Analysis The artist used a cool colour palette of blues, greens...
